Free live music is another weekly (at least) occurrence in Central Oregon, and local musicians can be found playing free shows pretty much wherever they fit: bars, barbershops, blacksmith shops, warehouses, you name it. For our readers, one such esoteric venue, Crow’s Feet Commons, stood out above the rest.
The bike shop/coffeehouse/bar located right next to Drake Park in downtown Bend also has become a hopping music venue in recent years, thanks in large part to its annual Apres Ski Bash outdoor concert series held each winter. But wander over to the Commons on a First Friday, or just about any summer weekend, and chances are you’ll stumble upon something cool (like a free concert from Bend’s own Matisyahu). Busy local promoter Parallel 44 Presents recently took over the venue’s booking, and that means more great music to come.
