Where to GO! for people watching

From its parks to trails, ski runs, streets and sidewalks, colorful humans abound in Central Oregon. But where best to people watch? According to Where to GO! voters, nothing beats the streets of downtown Bend for gawking at people. Aside from the everyday shopping and cafe and restaurant opportunities, there are plenty of other chances to stare at strangers such as the monthly First Friday Gallery Walk, as well as less frequent events such as Bend Summer Festival.
That’s not to say downtown Bend holds any kind of monopoly, as voters were divided in their opinions: The musically gifted lawn of Les Schwab Amphitheater and its commerce-driven neighbor, the Old Mill District, tied for second place. The grassy haven of Drake Park and Bend Elks Baseball Club also offer some prime people watching, according to voters.
No. 2: Les Schwab Amphitheater and Old Mill District
No. 3: Drake Park
Honorable mention:
Bend Elks Baseball Club
