Where to GO! for sushi

Published 12:00 am Thursday, February 8, 2018

5 Fusion & Sushi Bar has raised the standards for Japanese food in Central Oregon with the specialties prepared by James Beard award semifinalist and restaurant owner/chef Joe Kim. For the second year in a row, the Bend restaurant has been voted the no. 1 place to go for sushi in Central Oregon.

Mostly because of the delicious offerings made from high-quality ingredients, but also because of the establishment’s chic, intimate atmosphere. In addition to the regular entree menu of Asian fusion items, the sushi menu boasts a wide assortment of nigiri pieces, nigiri flights and specialty rolls. The most popular roll being the Steve McQueen Roll — tempura-fried, filled with tuna, red crab and cream cheese, and topped with sweet chili coconut sauce and macadamia nuts — it’s hard for customers to resist.
