Central Oregon and the great outdoors are practically synonymous, and that extends to the music scene as well. While there are no shortage of options for Where to GO! for outdoor concerts in the Bend area, there was really no doubting Les Schwab Amphitheater would come out on top in readers’ minds. The venue also snagged the top spot in Where to GO! for seeing live music while seated.
Since its first, abbreviated season in 2002, Central Oregon’s largest outdoor venue has hosted legends of all genres on its stage, young and old — from Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to Alabama Shakes and Deftones. These strong bookings by Portland-based promoter Monqui Presents have helped put Bend on the map for nationally touring artists, and the ripple effect has benefited just about every venue in the area. The amphitheater’s friendly staff, ample libations and spectacular views are the icing on the cake.
