Military notes

• U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Daniel A. Knauss has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. He is a 2015 graduate of Bend High School and the son of David and Theresa Knauss, of Bend.

College notes

• The following students have been named to the dean’s list at Pacific University for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must achieve a term GPA of 3.70 or higher and complete 12 or more graded hours:

Of Bend — Noah Askew, Cullen Dallas, Geneva Diepenheim, Cassidy Finley, Davis Holly, Kaleb Winebarger, Dannie Wright.

• Jacob Koski, of Bend, has graduated with honors from Montana State University, possessing a cumulative GPA of 3.25 to 3.69.

Youth notes

• Teaghan, Ainslie and Skye Knox, who are aged 13, 11 and 9, respectively, won first place in the Intel qualifying First LEGO League robotics tournament at Mountain View High School. “The 3 Sisters” team also earned a second place teamwork award at the Intel Oregon FLL championship tournament in Hillsboro and tied for fourth place out of 55 teams in the robotics field competition. They are home-schooled and the daughters of Andrew and Suzanne Knox, of Bend.
