Tim May, 66, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 7, 2018 from metastatic bladder cancer.

Tim was born in Billings, Montana on September 12, 1951. He leaves behind his two older brothers, Terry and wife Judy, and Mickey and wife Judy; his wife of nearly 29 years, Kathy; and five children from their blended family: Maggie and husband Clint, Matthew and wife Jessica, Mary and husband Kevin, Gage, and Lacey.

As a young man in 1968, Tim moved to Portland. Tim loved Oregon and called it home for 47 years. In 1988, Tim was proud to earn a degree as a Registered Nurse, dedicating 27 years to Peace Health Sacred Heart in Eugene and four years at St. Charles in Bend and Madras; he was well-regarded in his career. Next to his family, Tim considered being a nurse the most important endeavor of his life.

Tim met his wife Kathy in nursing school and they were married in 1989. It was the successful raising of his children that became the greatest accomplishment and point of pride for Tim. He attributes his accomplishments, purpose, and happiness in life to Kathy’s loving devotion and support.

Tim would like to thank his church family and all those who prayed for and supported him and Kathy during his illness.

A service will be held at the United Methodist Church – 49 NE 12th St, Madras, OR 97741 – at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Donations can be made in his name to the United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
