Larry D. Reeser, 76, of Dallas, Oregon, passed away on February 5, 2018. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on January 6, 1942, to Walter and Laura Reeser.
Larry eventually made his way to Oregon, where he graduated from Willamina High School. After high school, Larry attended Linfield College, where he played football and earned a bachelor’s degree and Master in Education. He married Claudia (Turner) Reeser in 1963 and they have been married 54 years. Larry and Claudia have five children, Scott, Todd, Troy, Tiffany and Travis.
Larry spent the next 36 years as a teacher, coach and high school principal. He taught and coached at Willamina High School and was the principal at La Pine and Santiam High Schools, officially retiring in 1997.
Larry was a simple man who loved the great outdoors. He especially enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends. Larry placed great emphasis on family togetherness, which holds firm to this day in his children. He was a hardworking man who instilled the value of work, respect and accountability. He was a firm, yet loving man who touched the lives of so many.
Larry is survived by his wife, Claudia; their five children, twelve grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, his brother, Leroy Reeser; and his sister, Myrna Dade.
Larry has left a legacy that will live on for generations. He will forever be loved and missed.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018, in The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints, 1401 SW 13th St., Dallas, Oregon 97338.
