Deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office arrested one of three suspects they believe are responsible for burglarizing Ferguson’s Market last week in Terrebonne.

The 17-year-old suspect was located Monday and cited with second degree burglary, second degree theft and first degree criminal mischief. He was not taken into custody.

At 2:35 a.m. Feb. 7, deputies responded to an audible alarm at the store at 8150 N. U.S. Highway 97 to find the front door had been smashed in. Surveillance footage shows three young men wearing masks covering their faces. They ran away before police arrived.

A police dog was used to track the suspects, but she lost the scent around the Rustic Ranch mobile Park on North U.S. Highway 97.

“Through investigative means and interviews we were able to identify the 17-year-old as a suspect,” said Sgt. William Bailey. “And when we contacted him, we believed he was wearing the same hat that he was wearing the night of burglary.”

Detectives are still searching for the other two suspects.
