Trinity Lutheran tops Chiloquin to claim 3rd in MVL

KLAMATH FALLS — One day after scoring just one point in the first half, Trinity Lutheran rebounded with a 55-47 win over Chiloquin in the Mountain Valley League boys basketball third-place game to qualify for next week’s Class 1A state playoffs.

The Saints (19-8) led 32-14 at halftime. Matt Eidler led Trinity Lutheran with 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Abe Clift had 10 points and nine rebounds. Gideon Schippers scored eight points and Niko Utu scored seven points and had 13 rebounds.

The Saints will play on the road next week in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs.
