Bend Police on Sunday arrested three men alleged to have commercial amounts of heroin outside Bend’s Walmart Supercenter.
At around 5 p.m., officers contacted a “suspicious” passenger car in the Walmart parking lot at 20120 Pinebrook Blvd., according to a news release. Using a drug dog with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, officers found evidence to arrest the three on suspicion of possessing, delivering and manufacturing heroin.
Jordan Michael Gilbert, 28, Caleb Lewis Coultress Bennett, 27, and Anthony Ernest Sandoval, 29 are all Bend residents. Bennett was also arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and a probation violation.
Along with the narcotics, police say they located paraphernalia, scales, baggies, $500 cash and a replica handgun. There are no charges related to the toy gun, but Bend Police spokesman Clint Burleigh said that had there been a confrontation between the men and police, it could have been mistaken for the real thing.
On Monday, the three were still lodged in Deschutes County jail.
