- Sara Diana Gomez
Police are looking for a green car in connection with the disappearance of Sara Diana Gomez, a 24-year-old Bend woman who was reported missing Feb. 20. Another Bend resident, 31-year-old Bryan Michael Penner, was taken into custody last week on charges that include kidnapping and violating a restraining order. Gomez has a restraining order on Penner.
The color of the car, a Chevrolet sedan, is seafoam green, according to a Bend police press release. It has a Carolina Panthers sticker on it. If you saw this car between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21, please contact the Bend police at 541 693-6911.
A friend of Gomez’s contacted Redmond police on Feb. 20 to report that she had not returned home for a few days. Redmond police forwarded the information to police in Bend, where Gomez lives. Police identified Penner, a former boyfriend of Gomez’s, as a person of interest and took him into custody Feb. 22 following a search of his apartment on NE Purcell. During that search, police say they located evidence linked to Gomez’s disappearance.
