William “Bill” Wesley Chadsey Jr.

William was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to William Wesley Chadsey Sr. and Doris (Blair) Chadsey. He grew up in Troy, among the Blue Mountains.

William served with the U.S. Coast Guard for four years with distinction, and was discharged honorably. William worked in the wood product industry for 40 years. He supervised the dismantling of the mill machinery to ship overseas, where he would hire a crew to install the machinery in many countries, such as Belize, New Zealand, Guatemala, New Brunswick, and the US.

William graduated from Lewiston High School in 1957. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Due to health related problems, he had to retire in 2003 in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

William moved to Clarkston in 2009 where he married Yvonne Jesse on February 10, 2010. His family includes his daughter, Lori Steele of Spokane, Washington, Sheri (Forrest) Adams; William Wesley (Denise) Chadsey III of Burns, and Christopher (Tammy) Chadsey of Redmond; as well as Yvonne’s four children, Janet Henthorn (Michael Collins), Douglas (Billie) Jesse, Darrell (Rose) Jesse, all of Spokane, Washington and David (Judi) Jesse of Liberty Lake, Washington. William also has 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

William’s hobbies included reading, and writing poetry as well as short stories, going to the ocean, and in his earlier years, fishing and hunting.William and Yvonne moved to Bend in 2014.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Deschutes Memorial Gardens, 63875 N. Hwy. 97, Bend, Oregon.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Autumn Funerals, 61555 Parrell Rd., Bend, Oregon.
