Roy John Kaser, Redmond, Oregon, died peacefully on his 87th birthday with his family by his side.
Born in Bend, Oregon, Roy attended school in Tillamook and Forest Grove, Oregon. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He married his wife of 65 years, Donna Widmer, on June 8, 1952. During his 44 year career in meat cutting, Roy worked in markets located in Bend, Salem and Cedar Mill. Roy loved fishing and hunting and spent his retirement years living at The Greens in Redmond, where he enjoyed golfing with friends and family. Roy and Donna also liked to travel to Arizona in the winters.
Roy’s greatest joy was sharing life with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Donna; children, Sheri Kaser and spouse, John Meyer; Jeff Kaser and spouse, Patti; granddaughter, Misty Borzy and spouse, Charlie; sister, LaVerne Bernhardt; and twin brother, Ray Kaser; two great-grandchildren and twenty nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by six siblings and granddaughter, Amber Kaser.
At his request, no service will be held.
