It’s a good week to be an acoustic music fan in Bend. In addition to hosting bluegrass/newgrass royalty The Travelin’ McCourys, the city will get a return visit from The Infamous Stringdusters, a band that has found itself at the vanguard of the modern bluegrass/jamgrass/whatever-else-we-have-to-call-it-now scene over the last decade. That position was solidified earlier this year, when the quintet won its first Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album for last year’s “Laws of Gravity” (the band was also nominated in 2011). After tearing up fretboards at last year’s 4 Peaks Music Festival, the group will bring its virtuoso playing and wide-ranging jams to the Domino Room on Tuesday.
The Infamous Stringdusters, with The Last Revel: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, doors open at 7 p.m.; $20 plus fees in advance, $25 at the door; ages 21 and older; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; parallel44presents.com or 541-408-4329.
