Cascade Winds in concert — March seems like a fitting time for a new march to make its world premiere. When Cascade Winds Symphonic Band holds its winter concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at Summit High School, 2855 NW Clearwater Drive, Bend, audience members will get the chance to hear “Perseverance: A Modern Medieval March,” by Bend composer Chris Redgrave. Additionally, jazz vocalist Trish Sewell will sing “Moon River,” “Over the Rainbow” and “Someone to Watch Over Me” during the concert, at which Michael Gesme will conduct. Also on the program are “The Purple Pageant March,” by Karl King, the swift-moving “Circus Bee March,” by Henry Fillmore, and Symphony No. 3, or “Slavyanskaya,” by Boris Kozhevnikov. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted. Contact: cascadewinds.org.
