Catch some jams on the Moon this weekend

Since reopening in October, Silver Moon Brewing has returned to regular live music on weekends. There’s usually a cover charge now, but don’t knock it until you try it: The renovations, including a more open layout with overhead fans and a much-improved sound system, make for a significantly more comfortable, enjoyable concert-going experience that’s well worth the few extra bucks. If you haven’t been yet, consider making the trip for one of these shows this weekend:

• Bend’s own “Fab Three” Beatles tribute JuJu Eyeball will play a fundraiser for local free community meal program Family Kitchen on Friday. Entry for this show is actually free, according to the Facebook event page, but donations will be accepted. Learn more about the work Family Kitchen does for the community while getting back to where you once belonged.

JuJu Eyeball: 9 p.m. Friday; free.

• Local roots/Americana groups Trailer 31 and Honey Don’t will team up once again at Silver Moon (the bands’ third annual team-up at the venue) on Saturday. Honey Don’t, featuring musical partners Bill Powers and Shelley Gray and guitar whiz Benji Nagel, returns after a quiet winter, while Trailer 31 is putting the finishing touches on its second studio album. Expect a hootenanny.

Trailer 31 and Honey Don’t: 9 p.m. Saturday; $10; Silver Moon Brewing, 24 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; silvermoonbrewing.com or 541-388-8331.
