HarmonyHouse, AKA Doug and Katie Cavanaugh’s woodshop southeast of Sisters, has slowed down its house-concert offerings in recent years (after the Cavanaughs announced that the shows would cease entirely in 2014, which hasn’t happened). Regular David Jacobs-Strain returned in February, and the Cavanaughs will host another HarmonyHouse and Central Oregon favorite, Wisconsin-based troubadour Johnsmith, on Saturday. The mono-monikered singer has been a regular at area venues — ranging from small house concerts such as HarmonyHouse to Sisters Folk Festival — for more than a decade, and his conversational, storytelling style is a lock for this region. His most recent album (and eighth solo record overall), “Gingko,” which dropped last year, is another intimate set of hushed, introspective folk with a few lighthearted detours scattered throughout.
Johnsmith: 8 p.m. Saturday, doors open at 7 p.m.; $20 suggested donation; HarmonyHouse Concerts, 17505 Kent Road, Sisters; 541-280-1821.
