• Holm Made Toffee Co. has been named the winner of the 14th Annual Oregon Chocolate Festival recently held in Ashland. The company’s cardamom and vanilla toffee, which earned honorable mentions in 2015 and 2017, won the “Best Chocolate Candy” award for 2018. The event featured over 40 artisan chocolatiers and vendors from Oregon, Washington and California.

• PrideStaff, a national franchised staffing organization, has named its Bend location New Office of the Year at the recent annual conference. The newly opened office had the best results nationwide in revenue, growth, quality management and community involvement.

• Lava Springs Snowbird Service has earned accredited member status from the National Home Watch Association for the second year. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain home watch and absentee homeowner services.

• Best Western Premier Peppertree at Bend and ZPizza Tap Room, 1082 SW Yates Drive, Bend, filed an application March 5 with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission as a new outlet for a commercial establishment, full on-premises sales license, which allows the sale and service of distilled spirits, malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises.

• Silverleaf Cafe, 7535 Falcon Crest Drive, Redmond, filed an application March 5 with the OLCC for greater privilege, a full commercial establishment on-premises sales license, which allows the sale and service of distilled spirits, malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises.

• Desert Inn Bar and Grill, 385 Jefferson Ave., Metolius, filed an application March 7 with the OLCC for an additional privilege, a limited on-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises and the sale of kegs of malt beverages for off premises consumption.

• Jumping Pickle Cafe, 63040 18th St., Bend, filed an application March 8 with the OLCC as a new outlet for a limited on-premises sale license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises and the sale of kegs of malt beverages for off-premises consumption.
