The C.R.E.A.T.E. in our program stands for “Creatively redefining education through adventurous, teachable experiences,” and is dedicated to providing children entering kindergarten to fourth grade in Central Oregon a summer day camp experience that blends community, experiential education, and a whole lot of fun.

Throughout seven themed weeks, our campers will work together with their peers and several educators in creating projects, taking excursions, and learning a variety of new skills that will help enhance their understanding of their theme and how it applies to the larger community.

Our day camp experience will provide campers with hands-on activities, songs and games, field trips, and skill-building with the assistance of our wonderful instructors and guest educators.

Here at Cascades Academy, we believe that the ability to learn about a topic stems from a student’s personal experience with that topic and an understanding of its personal connection to their world.

Each weekly theme of our camp aspires to enhance children’s knowledge of a specific topic by engaging them in reflective activities, excursions to new locations, and discussions and classes with different educators and community members.
