Who: Karen Evans’ jewelry is on display at Hood Avenue Art in Sisters through April 24. There will be an opening reception 4-7 p.m. Friday.

Karen Evans is a jewelry artist living in Crooked River canyon. She creates colorful beaded necklaces and bracelets, many of which have woven patterns in the beading work. She uses glass, transparent and opaque beads and stones. Evans received a bachelor’s degree in applied design at the University of Oregon.
