June 19, 1952 – March 7, 2018

Gary D. Hamilton, 65, of Prineville, Oregon, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on March 7, 2018.

Gary was born in Dallas, Oregon, on June 19, 1952, to James and Alice Hamilton. He graduated from Dallas High in 1970. He then moved back to Oregon and married Susan M. Laskey in 1972. Gary loved being a diesel mechanic. He started his career at Cummins Northwest in 1976, where he worked for 26 years. He later worked for Western Heavy Haul for another 13 years, retiring in 2016.

Gary was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, and loved his family most of all. He was an avid reader, animal lover, fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, a true patriot, student of the Bible, and loved his Savior. Gary was larger than life and has left a huge hole in all of our hearts.
