SISTERS — After putting together its biggest offensive output of the season, Sisters High was shut out for the first time as the Outlaws defeated Dayton 13-0 before falling to North Marion 8-0 in two nonconference baseball games Wednesday.

Against Dayton, Sisters scored a season-high 13 runs on 16 hits while Austin Morss spearheaded a two-hit shutout for the Outlaws. Morss struck out five over four innings and had four hits and two RBIs.

Austin Lake added two hits and three RBIs for Sisters, and Dillon Tucker chipped in with two hits. Turner Stutzman drove in two runs for the Outlaws, who recorded their third shutout in four games.

In its second game, Sisters (5-3 overall) was held to just five hits as North Marion ran away with an eight-run victory.

Pherry Luz accounted for three of the Outlaws’ five hits in that game.

Rocklin (Calif.) 8, Mountain View 4: ESCONDIDO, Calif. — The Cougars plated four runs in the top of the sixth inning, but it was not enough to overcome a seven-run deficit in a nonconference loss. St. Helens 10, Redmond 9: PENDLETON — The Panthers (4-5) scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings. Henry Chambers drove in two runs for the Panthers.

Crater 8, Bend 1: CENTRAL POINT — The Lava Bears (2-2) lost on the second day of the three-day Crater Tournament.
