Nellie left this planet quietly in her sleep on March 13, 2018, at age 88. She was born February 26, 1930 in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, to parents, Harold M. and Nellie L. (Klum) Cook. She was the 2nd of 4 children.

The family moved to Portland, OR, in 1937. She lived most of her life in the Eugene and Bend areas.

In October 1945, Nellie married Henry (Hank) Henderson in Salem. They had two daughters, Christy Carlton and Pamela Parks.

Nellie had been state director of Degree of Honor, a fraternal lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Barbara Heath; and her daughter, Pamela.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy of Eugene; brother, George (Ray) Cook of Roseburg; sister, Dorothy Cook of Medford; 4 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
