A connoisseur of French cheeses, Crepe Suzettes and croissants; Alexander Tchalemian often surprised his beloved wife, Beverly, with unplanned dinner guests. Alex was born in St. Nazaire, France, to Iskender and Marie Tchalemian on February 26, 1940. He was fluent in Armenian, French, Spanish, and English. The youngest of four boys, he is survived by his brother, Georges Tchalemian; his children, Laura, Stephen, and James Tchalemian; and their spouses, Jason, Carla and Deanna; and six grandchildren.
Alex immigrated to the United States in 1952. He proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam. He married Beverly Hull in June of 1969 in Redwood City, California. Together, they created a life of laughter, love and faith in Woodside, California, and later moved to Bend.
An eternal optimist, when asked how he was doing he replied with a chuckle, “Improving!” Alex was a true believer in Jesus Christ and loved to share his faith with those around him.
After a career in real estate, Alex made his final deal on Heavenly property on March 9.
