August 20, 1936 – February 23, 2018

Ron DeLude passed away February 23, 2018, in Vancouver, Washington, after a valiant fight with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Ron was born in Salo, Minnesota, to Tim and Cecilia (Marcoulier) DeLude. He grew up in Bend with his brother, Ray (Teresa), and sister, Glorianne, both surviving him.

He is also survived by his wife of 59+ years, Alma (Still),; daughter, Kristi (Jim); son, Randy (Janet), granddaughter, Mariah; and grandsons, Dakota and Hunter. He is also survived by many cousins on the Marcoulier side. He loved his family, attending games, swim meets and concerts, slipping a few bucks to each of them.

Ron was a numbers guy, so a life of banking was a perfect fit. He was a problem solver, always available for advice or a tool. It always pleased him when there was an opportunity to buy food or gas for someone in need.

His banking career took him to different banks, starting in Bend, then to Klamath Falls, La Grande, Salem, and Forest Grove, where he was on the school board and a charter member of the Rotary sponsored Concours d’elegance. Then he was on to Portland, Vancouver and Medford.

Ron loved anything with wheels, motors and wings. Helping to build an airplane or sailing his boat was great fun. He was a detail person who loved to polish and shine everything.

At Ron’s request there will be no formal service. He will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.

His military service was as a Navy Corpsman assigned to a Marine unit. He was proud to have served.

Our family would like to thank Salmon Creek Hospice, especially Holly, who gave so much service andspiritual support. We would also like to thank Father W. R. Harris, Pastor of the Porto-Cathedral of St. James, for being there when we needed him the most.

Arrangements under the care of Davies Cremation andBurial Services.
