Jury preview — Artists from 35 states, including 29 from Central Oregon, have submitted applications for the 2018 Art in the High Desert, the major, juried art show held each August in Bend. Jurors will convene this weekend in Bend to evaluate applications for the 11th annual event, coming Aug. 24-26. Art show organizers will host a free jury preview at 5 p.m. Friday at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes convention center, 2850 NW Rippling River Court, to give the public a look into the process, with each application projected onto three large screens.
