Proposed sculptures — The Deschutes Historical Museum invites public comment on four proposed sculptures for its Klondike Kate Memorial Sculpture, anticipated to be installed in fall 2018 on the museum’s grounds as part of the museum’s collection. Klondike Kate was Kathleen Eloisa “Kitty” Rockwell, a Vaudeville-era performer who became famous during the Klondike Gold Rush and later lived in Bend. The four proposed sculptures come from Melissa Cole of Spokane, Washington; Jenny Ellsworth of Oregon City; John Fleming of Seattle, Washington; and Cyrra Robinson of Tumwater, Washington. The models display Saturday through April 28 at the museum, located at 129 NW Idaho Ave., in Bend. Contact: deschuteshistory.org.
