Six weeks: The Run for Recovery, a 5K, 10K and kids fun run on May 19. The race, held by the Redmond Alano Club, will start at American Legion Park in Redmond. Two months: Storm the Stairs, a 2-mile run/walk through the COCC campus on June 7. The course includes more than 300 stairs. Registration is held on race day. For more information, visit www.cocc.edu/departments/sports/open-play-and-events.aspx.
Three months: The Ochoco Trail Runs, 50-mile, 50K and 10.5-mile races based out of Walton Sno-park east of Prineville on July 7. Entry costs $130 for the 50-mile, $100 for the 50K and $55 for the 10.5-miler; prices increase starting June 1. Learn more at www.ochocotrailruns.com.
Four months: Haulin’ Aspen, Bend’s only full trail marathon, plus a half marathon and 6.5-mile “Half As.” The races will be held Aug. 11 at Wanoga Sno-park. Registration costs $65 for the full marathon, $40 for the half and $25 for the Half As. Sign up at http://bendraces.com/haulin-aspen.
