Bend home sales, prices picked up in March

Bend area single-family home sales and prices picked up in March, according to the latest Beacon Report from Beacon Appraisal Group in Redmond.
The median price of a single-family home was $424,000, up 7 percent from $396,000 in March 2017.
Activity also picked up pace with 201 single-family home sold, up from 162 in February and 170 in March 2017.
Time spent on the market dropped from an average 106 days in March 2017 to 90 days.
Redmond home prices did not rise as quickly. The median sales price was $295,000 in March, up 3.8 percent from a year ago. A total of 67 homes were sold, up from 51 in February and 63 in March 2017.
Homes spent an average 113 days on the market, down from 126 at the same time last year.
