Bend Chamber announces Women of the Year Awards

Carol Stiles, who established the first Head Start early childhood education program in Bend, was named Woman of the Year by the Bend Chamber.
The awards were announced in a ceremony April 5 at the Tower Theatre. Pamela Hulse Andrews, the late founder of Cascade Publications Inc., was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement award. Dana Barbato, co-founder of InvestiPro human resources investigation software, was named Entrepreneur of the Year. Kristin Lingman, outreach manager for AirLink, was named Community Hero. Two Mountain View High School seniors, Heather Davenport and Isabelle Rice, each received the Young Hero awards, which includes a $1,500 scholarship.
