The League of Women Voters of Deschutes County and the Deschutes Public Library are co-sponsoring two upcoming forums for candidates running for state representative in the 53rd District and the Deschutes County Commission.

The first forum, for the 53rd District candidates, will be at 5:15 p.m. April 26 at the Deschutes Public Library, East Bend Branch, 62080 Dean Swift Road. In attendance will be Democratic candidates Eileen Kiely and Bill Trumble and Republican candidates Ben Schimmoller and Jack Zika.

A forum for the county commission candidates will be held at 5:15 p.m. May 2 at the Deschutes County Services building, 1300 NW Wall Street. Candidates at the forum will include Tony DeBone and Ed Barbeau for Position 1 and Tammy Baney and Patti Adair for Position 2.

The forums are free and the public is encouraged to attend.
