Yvonne and Denny Drury, of Bend, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children at the couple’s home on Boyd Acres Road from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The couple were married April 20, 1968, at First Presbyterian Church, in Bend. They have two children, Leigh Anne (and Phil) Denney and Will and (Becky) Drury, both of Bend, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Drury, a licensed real estate assistant since 1986, works at Premiere Property Group. She is a past president of American Legion Post No. 4 auxiliary unit, a 22-year charter member of LIFE Investment Club and vice president of Bend Heroes Foundation. Mr. Drury is the founder of D.L. Drury Custom Woodworks, Inc., which began as a part-time venture out of his garage in 1979. He served in the U.S. Navy 1968-72 with duty in San Diego, Vietnam and the Philippines. He is a charter member and past president of Rotary Club of Bend-Mt. Bachelor, a past commander of American Legion Post No. 4 and a board member of Bend Heroes Foundation.

When not working, the couple enjoy traveling, entertaining, playing golf and being an active part of their community.

They have lived in Bend for 46 years.
