Harold Theodore Edwards, DDS, passed away in Redmond on March 28, 2018.Harold Edwards, known to his friends as “Hal,” was born on October 27, 1934 in Salmon, ID. He was born to Frank and Gladys Edwards into a four generation family cattle ranch.

He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-six years, Cheryl; and one son, Curtis Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his elder son, Kenton Edwards; plus three brothers, Eugene, Edgar and William; and both parents.

Hal was introduced to Southern California in the mid 1950s through the military and stayed there for his schooling. He graduated from University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1963, earning a degree in doctorate of dental surgery. He spent six years in Calistoga, CA, and then thirty years in Santa Rosa, CA.

Hal’s extracurricular love was flying. As soon as he started practicing dentistry, he obtained his private pilot’s license and earned several advanced ratings in the ensuing years. He also loved to snow ski, scuba dive and socialize with friends. Golf became an interest after he retired. Hal was president of two Rotary clubs. Calistoga was his first presidency before he was thirty years old. In 1970, he became charter president of Santa Rosa East club. Hal and his wife traveled extensively throughout the world. They chose to retire in The Falls at Eagle Crest and he took an active part in the community until Alzheimer’s disease took over his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 6 at 2:00 PM at The Falls Clubhouse, 956 Niagara Falls Drive, Eagle Crest.
