CycleBar, an international indoor cycling franchise, will open June 7 in the Old Mill District next to Lululemon and Red Robin, local franchise owners said.

The franchise is owned by Bend residents Kirk and Stefanie Nelson, who say they have a background in management. CycleBar combines music with classes and instructors who lead participants in 50-minute workouts on stationary bicycles arranged in a riding theater. The franchise offers membership plans and concierge services like towels, lockers and cycling shoes.

“We’ve lived here for two years now, and were looking to start a business that would help us get involved in the community and this came across our desk,” said Stefanie Nelson. “It fit in line with everything we wanted to do. It’s like a party on a bike.”

CycleBar has 300 locations in the United States and Canada.
