Pole Pedal Paddle

First-timers seminar Wednesday — A seminar for first-time Pole Pedal Paddle participants will be held at the SELCO branch on 137 SW Century Drive in Bend from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Veteran racers will share tips and discuss in detail each leg of the race — downhill and cross-country skiing, cycling, running and kayak/canoe — including what not to do and how to handle transitions. The talk will be free, but attendees are asked to RSVP to molly@mbsef.org by Monday. Those who cannot attend can watch a livestream of the event at the SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle Facebook page. More information about the seminar and race is available at www.pppbend.com/faq.

Both runs are free for COCC students and staff and $5 for other participants. Registration forms will be available at the COCC Sports and Recreation Office and at local running outlets and athletic clubs, and registration will be available at Mazama Gym from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. on race days.
