Holly Adair Anderson, 70, passed away on April 17, 2018, in Bend, Oregon. Holly was born in Utah to Norma Barrett and Fred Goode.
Holly went to Modesto Junior College and received her AA degree in accounting. She traveled the U.S. and she spent most her life in the restaurant business serving and managing. “The best waitress in town!” Holly lived in Bend for 27 years. After she retired from the restaurant business, she started her own private housekeeping business in Bend for 15 years. She was a Military mom, wife and supported her troops proudly. She had many passions in life, including the ASPCA, hiking, camping, animal care and rescue, antique collecting and genealogy – she helped other families in their genealogy and volunteered for “Find A Grave,” researching local records for others.
Our mother was incredibly intelligent, kindhearted, compassionate, understanding and accepting. The best mama bear. She supported and encouraged her children in every step they took, even when her views were different, her advice was never overlooked. She made a difference in everyone’s lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Merritt; sister, Kathy Reynolds; brother, Brent Gardner; mother, Norma Barrett; and father, Fred Goode. She is survived by her children, Anthony Daniel, Shawn O’Brien, Riley Jane; sisters, Suzanne Schilffarth and Joy Spatz. She had 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was the matriarch of our family. Mother is God in the eyes of her child. “I love you with all my heart.” – Holly A. Anderson, and we love you too, Mom, with all our hearts.
