Despite most of its five members being based in Central Oregon, Eric Clapton tribute band After Midnight has never played in Bend, instead focusing on theater gigs throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. That will change Saturday, when the band — led by guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Derek Michael Marc — takes the Tower Theatre stage to play a benefit for the Humane Society of Central Oregon. All proceeds from ticket sales, minus expenses, will go to the organization, which provides care and assistance to pets and pet owners in Central Oregon and operates a shelter in Bend. “Everybody loves pets,” Marc said. “(We are) just really wanting to help them out as much as possible.” Come celebrate Slowhand, learn more about the Humane Society and rock out for a good cause.
After Midnight: 7:30 p.m. Saturday; $25 or $35 plus theater preservation fee; Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St., Bend; towertheatre.org or 541-317-0700.
