The city of Bend plans to reduce the speed limit on a mile-long stretch of NW Shevlin Park Road from 45 mph to 40 mph.

The lower speed will apply to Shevlin Park Road between the Mt. Washington roundabout and a point 200 feet west of NW Park Commons Drive. Changes will take effect after the city posts new speed limit signs this week, and the signs will be topped with orange warning flags for a few weeks.

Speed limit changes are in response to requests from Bend residents and changing traffic and development along the road.
