Warriors Curry is questionable for Game 1 — Warriors guard Stephen Curry is questionable for Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the New Orleans Pelicans, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Thursday afternoon. Curry went through a full-contact practice for the first time since suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his right knee in a 106-94 win against the Atlanta Hawks March 23. While Kerr said Curry looked good in practice, he would not commit to saying the five-time all-star will play Saturday night. The injury caused Curry to miss the Warriors first-round matchup against the Spurs. In Curry’s absence, the Warriors’ struggled to close out the regular season, going 4-6 over the final 10 games.

SDSU: New stadium could be expanded for NFL team — San Diego State says its proposed new 35,000-seat football stadium could be expanded to 55,000 seats if the NFL ever returns to the city. SDSU has proposed building a $250 million stadium to replace aging SDCCU Stadium, formerly known as Qualcomm Stadium. The new stadium would be part of a campus expansion via an initiative on the November ballot that seeks to buy the site from the city. A competing initiative calls for a $4 billion development that would include a stadium for a possible MLS team. The NFL’s Chargers relocated to the Los Angeles area before the 2017 season. While SDSU’s plan includes an expandable stadium, the competing plan, called SoccerCity, would set aside a plot of land for five years that could be used for an NFL stadium.

After rock throwing, Ole Miss warns fans — Players should throw baseballs, but the University of Mississippi is warning student spectators to stop throwing rocks. The Oxford Eagle reported that Ole Miss officials are letting students back into an area near the visitors’ bullpen at Oxford-University Stadium. But athletic director Ross Bjork is warning that there had better not be a repeat of the rock-throwing that plagued games last weekend against the University of Georgia. If there is more trouble, Bjork said the university could explore cutting down on student seating.
