• Joel Thomas, a broker at Compass Commercial Real Estate Services, has earned his certified commercial investment member designation. A CCIM has been likened to a master’s degree in commercial real estate, and 6 percent of commercial brokers have the title. Thomas specializes in office, industrial and retail leases and sales, in addition to business sales and investment. He has been with Compass Commercial since 2013.

• Robert Bryant, who has served as the Oregon Department of Transportation Region 4 manager for 34 years, is retiring. The Region 4 manager is responsible for planning, engineering, construction, maintenance and other operational decisions for ODOT services within nine counties, including Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties.

• Gary Farnsworth, former Central Oregon/Lower John Day area manager, will assume the role of ODOT Region 4 manager.

• Lindsay Brisko has joined Stemach Design and Architecture as a project architect. She brings nearly five years of experience in the design and construction industry and has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas-Lawrence.

• Gary Marshall, fire safety manager for the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District for the past four years, has been named the executive director of the Deschutes County Fire District No. 2.

• Doug Green of the Bend Fire Department will fill the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District fire safety manager position until a permanent replacement is selected.
