Charles “Charlie” DeVore passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born on December 13, 1942, in California, to Earl and Pauline (Vaughn) DeVore.

He would eventually meet and marry his wife, Katherine (Katie) DeVore; they were wed in Las Vegas. The loving couple would reside in Las Vegas, Washington State, and Oregon – including Redmond and Winchester Bay.

Charles loved fishing and worked as a painting contractor, eventually owning his own business. He served honorably with the US Navy including serving in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ellen; and two nephews, Earl and Kelly.

He is survived by wife, Katie; pets, Maggie and Buttons; further survived by Crystal and Tim Bidwell, Christina Polley, Thomas and Raymond DeVore, Dale, Joseph, Charles, and Robert. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Dunes Memorial Chapel. Included in the service will be military honors performed by the US Navy. A reception will follow the service at Bedrocks by the Bay in Winchester Bay.
