Activity scholarship fund applications due Friday — Deschutes County nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for after-school activity scholarships from the Every Kid Fund. The fund supports organizations that offer sports, martial arts, music, dance and art programs for kids. Applications are due Friday, and the funds will be used for programs held between July and December 2018. Kids and families in financial need should not apply directly, but can access scholarship money through the organization they wish to participate in. Nonprofits that wish to apply should do so at www.deschuteschildrensfoundation.org/how-we-help/every-kid-fund/. Those who wish to contribute to the Every Kid Fund can learn more at 541-388-3101.

Color(full) run/walk to be held Thursday — The second annual Color(full) Fun Run/Walk will be held at Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village in Bend at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The 5K course passes through Farewell Bend Park, and the “color explosion” will occur at 4:45 p.m. The event benefits the Alzheimer’s Association. Registration costs $30 ahead of time and $35 on the day of the event. Register in person at Touchmark, located at 19800 SW Touchmark Way.
