Pamela Faye (Groves) Rhoden, a Prineville, OR resident, passed away on June 8, 2018. She was 53 years old.
Pam was born in Redmond, OR, on September 15, 1964, to Jack and Faye Groves. She attended and graduated from Crook County High School.
Pam married Clayton Rhoden on June 21, 1986, together they had one child, Sara. They later divorced. Sara and her grandchildren were the center of her life.
Pam worked for her brothers, Dave (Dave’s Auto Wrecking) and Mike (Mike’s Fence Center) before starting her career with Crook County in the Finance and Payroll Department. She later transferred to the Crook County Planning Department. She worked for Crook County for 18 years.
She enjoyed gardening, reading and quilting. One of her favorite activities was attending Irondyke Church Camp with family. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She would do anything for her family, which meant the world to her. Pam was the youngest of 6 kids, the rest being brothers.
Pam is survived by her parents, Jack and Faye Groves of Prineville; daughter, Sara Rhoden of Prineville; 3 grandchildren, Carson, Emery and Edward; five brothers, David (Carla) Groves of Powell Butte, Doug (Becky) Groves of Prineville, Mike (Cathie) Groves of Bend, Jeff (Julie) Groves of Bend, and Jim (Donna) Groves of Prineville; 13 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at the Prineville Church of Christ, on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow. – Pamela Faye (Groves) Rhoden – September 15, 1964 – June 8, 2018
