U.S. Highway 26 was closed in both directions on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation near the Deschutes River due to a wildfire Monday, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. The road was reopened by Tuesday morning.
The Red Cross also opened a shelter in Warm Springs due to a Level 3 evacuation notice. A Level 3 notice instructs residents to leave immediately.
