Motorcyclist killed in collision with pickup

A motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon in a collision with a pickup truck on Century Drive, according to Bend Police.
Bend’s police and fire departments responded to a report of an accident just before 2 p.m. on Century Drive near Mammoth Drive in west Bend. Bend Fire and Rescue conducted live-saving efforts on the person riding the motorcycle, a 2005 Harley Davidson. However, the rider did not survive.
Century Drive remained closed between Mammoth and West Campbell Road for more than four hours while law-enforcement officials investigated the accident. They determined that a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck hit the motorcycle.
Bend Police have not yet released the names of those involved in the accident. They would like anyone who witnessed it to call the Bend Police Department at 541-693-6911.
