Elks complete sweep of Sweets

The Bend Elks continued their stellar play to begin the second half of the season with a 10-4 victory over the Walla Walla Sweets on Wednesday night at Vince Genna Stadium.
In their third straight win, six different Elks (3-0 second half, 10-20 overall) had at least one RBI, and seven Bend hitters had at least one hit.
Kaiser Weiss hit his first home run since joining the Elks and Tristen Alvarez hit his fourth homer.
Khalil Rivera picked up his first victory of the summer after pitching 42⁄3 innings of two-run ball. He struck out six Sweets (0-3, 15-12) and did not walk a batter.
Tyson Quolas took the loss for Walla Walla and Cesar Lopez went deep.
