Who: Susan Busik’s exhibition, “Magical Reality,” is on display through August at the Oxford Hotel.

Steeped in elements of traditional Mexican folk art, Sisters artist Busik brings her cultural heritage out in each piece. The self-taught painter combines the mystic with the ordinary in an effort to symbolize a spiritual presence around us. The artist will attend the champagne reception at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
