Bend Police have identified the driver and pedestrian involved in a fatal accident on South Highway 97 Tuesday.

Bend resident Stephanie Ann Rogers was struck and killed by a Ford F150 truck shortly before 11 p.m. while crossing the Parkway at Powers Road. Rogers, 47, was crossing from the east side of the Parkway to the west side and wearing dark clothing, according to the police.

The driver of the truck was Shawn Walter Buche, a 51-year-old La Pine resident. Buche has been cooperating with the police, who are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
