College notes

• Sonja Lund, of Bend, graduated from St. Olaf College with a bachelor’s degrees in psychology and dance following the spring 2018 semester. She attended Sisters High School and is the daughter of Angela and James Lund.

Teen feats

• Charles “Finney” McFarland of Troop 120, in Bend, earned his Eagle Scout rank June 28. For his Eagle scout project, Finney and volunteers spent 472 hours vacuum packing 10,500 meals for Central Oregon kids through Generosity Feeds Meals and Neighbor Impact. Finney attends Skyview Middle School and is the son of Matthew and Natasha McFarland of Bend.

• Levi Eisbach of Troop 9027, in Redmond, earned the rank of Eagle Scout on June 28. For his Eagle Scout project, Levi and volunteers spent 80 hours renovating the outside play area for Start Here Preschool, which included building sandboxes, repairing the slide, replacing the ramp and floor joists and restaining the play structure. Levi attends Redmond Proficency Academy and is the son of Leo and Natalie Eisbach of Redmond.

Youth notes

• The Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation will receive a $19,550 grant from First Nations Development Institute to implement the Culture Club program at the Warm Springs Boys and Girls Club. The grant will increase cultural awareness among tribal youth through interactive workshops of artistic and historical value.

Reunion notes

• Redmond High School Class of 1963 is holding its 55th reunion the first weekend of August. Aug. 3 at 3:30 p.m. will be a tour of the old high school, which is the new City Hall; Aug. 4 will be a no-host dinner at Round Table Pizza at 5 p.m.; Aug. 5 will be the Buckaroo Breakfast at the fairgrounds. • Redmond High School Class of 1973 is holding its 45th reunion Aug. 17 and 18. Aug. 17 will be a gathering at Wild Ride Brewing, 332 SW 5th St., Redmond, from 5 to 10 p.m. in the group meeting area. Cash bar and food trucks will be on-site. Aug. 18 will be a buffet dinner at the VFW Hall, 491 SW Veterans Way, Redmond, from 5 to 10 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Cost is $30 per person, cash bar.
