Suspected package thieves arrested — Two of three suspects were arrested after people in a stolen car followed a UPS driver in Happy Valley and stole packages after they were dropped off. A Clackamas County sheriff’s deputy discovered the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver fled, but the chase ended when he crashed into a pole. The suspected driver, Dylan Young, was arrested along with one of two passengers who tried to run after the crash. The second passenger was not caught. The vehicle used in the package thefts was reportedly stolen from Clackamas Town Center on Friday. The car was returned to its owner, as were the packages that were inside the vehicle.

Man attempts traffic stop run — A Hillsboro man was arrested after nearly hitting a deputy while attempting to run from a traffic stop. Deputies were attempting to identify the driver during a traffic stop Saturday when he drove away. Officials said as the driver fled, his car grazed a deputy. A few minutes later, deputies found Trevor Bosworth’s car near SW Tualatin Valley Highway. Bosworth allegedly refused to stop and led deputies on a pursuit into a neighborhood. Deputies pinned the car with a patrol car and Bosworth was taken into custody. Bosworth was charged with assault, attempted assault on a public safety officer, unlawful use of a weapon, felony attempting to elude, reckless driving, and giving false information to a peace officer. It was not known if Bosworth has a lawyer.
